I can't believe it is April already--this year has been flying by!
4th Graders have been playing Oregon Trail (remember that?) They have learned that they cannot control certain aspects of the game: the weather, grass supply, broken wagon wheels.....
However, they can use their prior knowledge & trial and error to make their best choices of what to buy, when to rest, etc. They have really enjoyed virtually traveling the trail!
3rd Graders have been doing some vocabulary work. They discovered a new word; then used Kidspiration to map it with the definition, a synonym, a picture, and a sentence.
2nd Graders had done research in their classrooms and used their reports to make a Power Point presentation. Some of their wonderful title slides are on display in our hallway!
1st Graders watched a short video on how elephants can make a painting. Since they have been studying animals it was really interesting! They then learned how to open a new word processing document and typed the title of the video as well as inserted a picture! Some of their work is on display in our hallway as well.
Kindergarteners have done a variety of activities & games that have included sequencing and rhyming. They have also practiced using a variety of digital picture making tools.
